Mathias Tinghøj Hansen

Visiting PhD Student - Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology

As a Ph.D. Fellow at CBS' Department of Digitalization, Mathias conducts research on how professional venture architects create new digital ventures in coordination with a shifting digitally mediated landscape. The research is based on a new materialist onto-epistemology that focuses on flows, rhythm, and landscape instead of agents and entities. Mathias is primarily a qualitative researcher and his research is based on ethnographic field data gathered through long-term participation in the venture-studio industry.

In addition to academia, Mathias has 4 years of professional experience as an innovation consultant. He has successfully grown two corporate ventures: TheHub.io, a cross-Nordic startup recruitment platform developed and scaled in collaboration with Danske Bank, and Qatar SportsTech, the first SportsTech accelerator program in the MENA region, created in collaboration with Qatar Development Bank and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
