Marco Mismetti

Assistant Professor - Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology

Marco Mismetti an Assistant Professor with the House of Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). Prior to joining SSE, Marco completed his Ph.D. in Business & Law at the University of Bergamo and held a postdoctoral research fellow position at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (January 2022-present), working at the Centre for Family Business Management with Prof. Alfredo De Massis. He has held various visiting positions in international institutions in Italy, U.S., Spain, and the Netherlands, and has been a visiting scholar at the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Babson College.

His work focuses on comprehending the unique dynamics, and intra- and inter-generational processes within family firms, to gain valuable insights into the intricate relationship between family dynamics and entrepreneurial attitudes. Specifically, his research interests comprehend a variety of topics as conflict, conflict management, innovation, and sustainability. Throughout his academic journey, Marco have sharpened his expertise in qualitative research methodologies, including interviews and ethnography. Marco has undertaken a multitude of research projects which have enabled him to develop a holistic perspective that integrates qualitative, quantitative and theoretical approaches. Marco also serves as a Member of the IFERA Research Development Program. His research has been awarded by international institutions and published in leading academic journals as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Research and Long Range Planning.
