Linus Dahlander

Professor Dahlander is a professor at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) Berlin and the holder of the Lufthansa Group Chair in Innovation. He earned his Ph.D. from Chalmers University of Technology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. His academic journey also includes roles as an assistant professor and an Advanced Institute of Management Research Fellow with the UK Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group at Imperial College Business School. He has held visiting appointments at Aarhus University, Bath University, Linköping University, and currently at Stockholm School of Economics.

His teaching responsibilities extend across various programs, including MBAs, EMBAs, executive courses, and Ph.D. studies, focusing on digitalization, innovation, entrepreneurship, and networks. Beyond academia, he consults and advises startups, large multinationals, and government organizations on innovation and networks and is a sought-after keynote speaker. He was named one of the Best 40 Under 40 Professors in the world by Poets & Quants in 2017 and has worked with numerous high-profile clients.

In his research, Professor Dahlander collaborates with distinguished co-authors to explore the development of new ideas and innovations in networks and communities. His projects often involve large-scale network analyses combined with a deep understanding of the content that flows through these networks. His goal is to address novel questions that not only advance academic literature but also provide actionable insights for managers.

Since 2023, he serves as an Associate Editor for the Strategic Management Journal. Previously, he was an Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Journal from 2013 to 2016.
