We conduct teaching in governance and public policy topics at the bachelor, master, PhD and Execute Education levels, are active in public investigations and reports as well as public debate. Our research is frequently highlighted in international and national press. Current research projects includes public rankings, gender equality in organizations and the labor market, political participation, institutions for wealth and income mobility.

Governance in public, private and civil society/NGO organizations alike is characterized by demands for transparency, accountability and efficiency. Governance has also become more complex with needs to manage multiple stakeholders across sectors and industries. This creates new demands on research, education and policymaking.

SSE House of Governance and Public Policy is a multidisciplinary institution that gathers leading researchers and educators across all departments at SSE, as well as visiting scholars with a range of disciplinary backgrounds and expertise. We conduct cutting edge research and education of societal relevance, to assist in professional development and capacity building in organizational and societal governance and in the development of scientifically based public policy.
