The aim of the department is to provide top-quality teaching and research in three academic fields that are clearly important for students and other participants in all of SSE’s programs. The faculty conducts research both as an end in itself and as a basis for high quality and relevant teaching. An additional key role for the department is to share its expertise with other SSE departments and the SSE administration.
