Celine Zipfel awarded for outstanding pedagogical achievements

										In August, Celine Zipfel, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at SSE, was awarded for outstanding pedagogical achievements at SSE. Celine was awarded for her work in redesigning an MSc course on Development Economics with great success. The course was highly appreciated among students, covering a wide range of topics and giving a holistic view of the field.
									
								Anna Dreber Almenberg elected as Member of the Academy

										Good news from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien): Anna Dreber Almenberg has been elected as a Member of the Academy’s class for social sciences. Anna is a professor of economics at the Stockholm School of Economics.
									
								Martina Björkman Nyqvist winner of SSE Corporate Partners' Research Award 2020

										Associate Professor Martina Björkman Nyqvist has been awarded the SSE Corporate Partner Research Award 2020 for her groundbreaking work in development economics. Marie Ehrling, Chairman of Securitas, presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.

										Filip Mellgren was awarded first prize in this year’s thesis competition at the Swedish Competition Authority in the business administration and economics category for his thesis  “Tacit collusion with deep multi-agent reinforcement learning”.
