Department of Marketing and Strategy
Daniel Tolstoy is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Marketing and Strategy. His research revolves around the following areas in the field of International Business:
- International Entrepreneurship: How do smaller firms create new business in foreign markets?
- International e-commerce: How can companies expand internationally through digital sales channels and e-services?
- Sustainability transitions led by Multinational Enterprises (MNEs): How can MNEs take pioneering roles in tackling global challenges?
Daniel has been teaching in both of the two bachelor programs and several of the master programs at Stockholm School of Economics since 2009. He has also taught Executive Education courses. In 2023, he joined the Executive MBA program as Cohort Director. Daniel has published in leading journals such as Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, Technovation, and International Business Review.
