Ruilin researches knowledge workers’ subjective time perception and management in the hybrid work context and related matters such as work-life boundary, collaborations, and digitalization. He follows a qualitative inductive approach in his studies.
He worked at numerous Chinese and American tech companies in cloud development and operations, focusing on human-machine interactions. Ruilin received his master’s in management and organization in Finland. He studied management information systems for his bachelor’s in the United States, with partial studies in China.
