MW Group joins the SSE Corporate Partnership Program

In an era of ever-shifting global security dynamics, there is a greater need for collaboration between the industry and academia – especially in the defense sector. We are therefore happy to announce that MW Group is joining the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) as a new corporate partner.

The past years’ pandemic, wars and economic instabilities have made it clear that it is vital to be prepared for any scenario. MW Group has made it their specialty to leverage cutting-edge civilian technology for military purposes and provide strategy consulting and logistical solutions as well as telecom and network solutions to both military and civilian clients.

As the global security landscape continues to shift dramatically, there is an increased urgency for the defense industry to accelerate innovation and respond to growing demands.

"At MW Group, we are committed to supporting a whole-of-society approach to defense and societal resilience by enabling dual-use technology access, filling capability gaps and enhancing readiness, leveraging new technologies and committed employees,” says Mikael Karlsson, CEO of MW Group. ”We are excited to embark on this journey together with SSE. This partnership is a milestone in our commitment to serving a stronger society."

Knowledge and innovation

By aligning with SSE, MW Group gains invaluable access to a wealth of knowledge and innovative minds that are part of shaping the future. It fosters a beneficial exchange of knowledge, strategic advancement, diverse perspectives, and long-lasting networking opportunities. For MW Group this will unlock new avenues for growth, including engaging with SSE's elite students through educational initiatives, accessing insights from leading SSE academics in fields such as governance, artificial intelligence (AI) and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), as well as expanding its network through SSE's extensive array of over 100 corporate partners.

"This partnership embodies our commitment to bridging the gap between academic excellence and industry innovation. We believe this collaboration will not only enrich our research and educational endeavors but also provide our students with a unique perspective on the practical applications of their studies," says Lars Strannegård, President of SSE.
