Marcus Wallenberg receives the 2015 SSE Research Award

Marcus Wallenberg is the recipient of the 2015 SSE Research Award for his efforts to promote research at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE).

Through his active work with a number of research foundations, particularly the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, he has helped to make it possible for SSE, its research institutes, and its individual researchers to carry out research on the highest level.

Launched in 1992, the SSE Research Award is presented annually to acknowledge a person who actively and effectively works to create favorable conditions for research and researchers at the Stockholm School of Economics.

Long-term engagement by representatives of the business community and the public sector is a vital necessity if research at SSE is to remain successful.
As part of the award, the recipient receives a book written by SSE researchers. This year’s book is called Risk and risk management in business and society (Risk och riskhantering i näringsliv och samhälle) edited by Professor Richard Wahlund.
