Rasika Mahajan visiting researcher at CRL during April 2024

I am visiting Stockholm School of Economics as a researcher during the month of April 2024. I am a PhD researcher at Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University, Nijmegen and working on how to transform gender diversity trainings to be more inclusive.

Research on gender diversity training primarily comes from a western lens. By combining insights from intersectional feminism and postcolonial feminism, we have designed a critical framework to assess inclusivity of gender diversity training manuals/toolkits, which are widely used by organisations to inform their training practices. We have also collected data in the Dutch and Indian contexts, with experts and trainees, to gain insights on the content of gender diversity training. We aim to design a training that is inclusive, by rooting it in intersectional and postcolonial feminist theories.

During my visit at the SSE, I hope to engage with scholars and exchange ideas about our research. I also hope to network with researchers and be a part of a community that engages with critical, responsible research in management and organizational context.
