Socioeconomic status and test scores are important predictors of educational attainment gaps in rich countries. Associate Professor Abhijeet Singh from the Economics Department of the Stockholm School of Economics and his co-authors present new evidence on inequalities in education in low and middle-income countries (LMIC).

December 6 marked the first stage of an 18 month journey for a new group of MBA students at the Stockholm School of Economics. Over 50 participants are enrolled in the SSE MBA Executive Format 2021 Autumn program, an intense learning experience that prepares them to build, lead and develop organizations in the global arena.

Associate Professor Abhijeet Singh has been awarded the SSE Corporate Partners’ Research Award 2021 for his empirical studies of education polices. The award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK, was presented by SSE President Lars Strannegård.

We are very proud to announce that Martina Björkman, Acting Mistra Professor of Sustainable Markets at MISUM and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics has been elected a new member of the European Economic Association (EEA) Executive Committee. Her term of office will run from January 2022 to December 2024.

For the 15th consecutive year, a scholarship is being awarded for Executive MBA studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. The scholarship of SEK 495,000 is announced by Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri in cooperation with the Stockholm School of Economics and utbildning.se and recognizes the next generation of leaders, with the purpose of strengthening Swedish competitiveness.
