Visit to Tekniska Museet’s Hyper Human Exhibition - 10 Apr 2025
On April 10, we explored Hyper Human, an exhibition that delves into how rapid technological advancements are reshaping our understanding of humanity. The collection addresses five key areas: enhancements and replacements of body parts, genome editing, surveillance, artificial intelligence, and aging and death. Visitors could encounter historical artifacts such as a musculature model from the 1700s and prosthetic eyes from the 1800s, alongside modern innovations like intelligent supercomputers from the 1980s and future visions from both popular culture and scientific research. The exhibition encourages engagement with ethical questions, prompting visitors to consider the societal implications of technologies like AI and genome editing.
A guided tour in English provided insights into these themes, fostering discussions on the ethical considerations of technological progress. After the tour, participants were free to explore the museum independently.
