How might a big money laundry scandal lend itself to theatre?

Associate Professor Karin Svedberg Helgesson participated in a panel during the Gothenburg Book Fair, discussing a play by by Mehis Pihla titled Business as Usual. The play centres around the world's biggest money laundry scandal, where the Estonian affiliate of a Scandinavian bank was entwined in used to launder Russian oligarchs' money. Through documentary material and interviews with employees, Pihla has created a comic play which also shines a light on issues surrounding banking ethics and culture. To this discussion, Svedberg Helgesson was invited to provide insight and wider context.
