Ingrid Stigzelius is a PhD candidate at the Stockholm School of Economics within the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (MISUM). Her PhD-thesis deals with the shaping of ‘green’ markets and consumers in everyday food practices. The thesis is based on case studies of consumers’ various efforts to ‘do green’ in areas of food production, market exchange, cooking and waste.
Ingrid also holds a Licentiate degree from the Department of Economics at SLU in Uppsala. As part of this degree she conducted case studies in Indian garment manufacturing and Swedish food catering with a focus on the implementation of social and environmental standards. Moreover, Ingrid has given several lectures on the topic of sustainable consumption and Corporate Responsibility (CR). She has a background within civil society organizations, such as the Fair Trade Shop Globalen and Fair Action (formerly Fair Trade Center).
