2020 Visiting Research fellowship at sceri

The Stockholm China Economic Research Institute (SCERI) at the Stockholm School of Economics invites applications for a Visiting Research Fellowship for studies on East and Southeast Asia. The Visiting Fellowship is a 1-year research position with a possible extension for a junior or mid-career researcher.

We welcome applicants from all fields with either a regional or country-specific focus. Most of the research at the institute focuses on China and Southeast Asia.

A few years back, SCERI initiated a long-term research project on social media in East and Southeast Asia. As a result, we especially want to encourage researchers with an interest and background in research related to social and/or other forms of digital media to apply for the fellowship. We also encourage researchers with an interested in issues related to innovation to apply. However, researchers with other research interests are more than welcome to apply as the final decision will primarily be based on the potential of the proposed research.

The Visiting Research Fellow will take up the position in September 2020. SCERI expects the Fellow to be an active member of the research institute and contribute by publishing research on East and Southeast Asia.

Qualified applicants will have a PhD in economics, finance, political science, or related fields. The visiting fellow will receive a tax-free scholarship.

Applicants shall submit the following material:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Cover Letter
  • Research Proposal
  • Work Samples (thesis, journal articles, and/or working papers)
  • Contact information for two or three references

Applications shall be submitted by April 15, 2020 by email to nanhee.lee@hhs.se.
