Lars Strannegård’s appointment as President is extended

The Board of Directors of the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) has extended Lars Strannegård’s appointment as President until May 31, 2027.

“The Board is very happy and grateful that Lars Strannegård accepts an extension of his appointment as President of SSE. Lars has done an outstanding job as President. SSE now has a leading international position with highly ranked master programs, our Executive Education is among the top 10 and our research is world-class. All education takes place in English and around 50% of our master students and many of our faculty members are international.

We are convinced that under Lars' continued leadership, SSE will further strengthen its leading position in the coming years," says Laurent Leksell, Chair of the Board of Director for the Stockholm School of Economics.

“I am very excited and feel honoured to now have the opportunity to continue our work to develop the Stockholm School of Economics to an even more well-positioned and well-funded international business school. SSE is an amazing place, and in my eyes, we have a very bright future ahead. It is the people who work and study at the school, our alumni and partners who make SSE the highly interesting place that it is, and I am so grateful for all support from both inside and outside of SSE," says Lars Strannegård.
