Two major topics were discussed during this three-hour long meeting: the SSE Sport Initiattive, which will launch in the fall of 2022, and the Center’s education portfolio.  

Concerning the SSE Sport Initiative, we discussed how our partners can contribute to the Initiative on the one hand, and how sports can contribute to business education on the other. The Center also received reflections and feedback from the sports executives on the SSE Sport Initiative’s plans. 

Next, the education portfolio of the Center for Sports and Business was discussed, with Anders Sewerin (Director for Strategy Development) talking about the Cruyff Institute and the MDA program with the motto “Passion for Excellence and Development”. Furthermore, Carlsson-Wall (Center Director) outlined the education portfolio targeting four different groups: athletes, students, sports executives, as well as business executives. This was followed by a discussion with the advisory board members to gather their perspectives, feedback and reflections. 

The day ended with a dinner at restaurant Farang, where we were joined by Mato Njavro, Dean at Zagreb School of Economics and Management, who was visiting Stockholm in conjunction with the MLEA project (MicroLearning Entrepreneurship for Athletes) which the Center for Sports & Business is a partner of.
