Center for Sports and Business Presented for Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden

On March 9th, the Stockholm School of Economics had the honor of welcoming Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden. During their visit, they learnt more about the school’s activities and met researchers as well as students. As part of this, Martin Carlsson-Wall, the Director for the Center for Sports and Business, presented the Center for the Crown Princess Couple.

During their visit to SSE on March 9th, President Lars Strannegård provided a summary of ongoing initiatives that the school is implementing, and presented SSE’s educational mission FREE. Further, five researchers, from five different institutions at SSE, presented their respective research fields and the Crown Princess Couple could ask questions.  

Associate Professor Martin Carlsson-Wall had the opportunity of presenting the Center for Sports and Business to the Crown Princess Couple.

"It was an honor to have Crown Princess Victoria and Crown Prince Daniel at SSE. They showed a lot of interest in our research and we had fruitful and engaging discussions. As the Director of the Center for Sports and Business, I follow the work that Crown Princess Victoria and Crown Prince Daniel are doing to promote health and sport. Generation Pep has established itself as an important catalyst within the Swedish sports movement.", says Martin Carlsson-Wall. 

Furthermore, Dr. Torbjörn Becker presented SITE (Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics), Professor Anna Dreber Almenberg discussed the topic “What research results can we trust?”, Associate Professor Emma Stenström talked about Bubble-hopping, a method to bridge divides between people in a fractioned society and Professor Mattias Nordqvist told them about his research in family businesses on the theme “Family Business, an unusually resistant entrepreneurship”. 

Finally, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden got to meet some of the students and chat with them about their student experiences, student initiatives, and how it has been to be a student during the pandemic.
