POST-EUROMAIDAN UKRAINE: POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS AFTER THE REVOLUTIONARY ATTEMPT

The Stockholm Institute of Transition Economic (SITE) has the pleasure to invite you to a presentation on Thursday May 16, 11.00-12.30 by Dr. Mykhailo Minakov, Senior Fellow at the Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute.

On the 21st of April, Ukrainian voters have elected a new President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, an actor, comedian and political satirist, who won by a compelling margin of nearly three to one.

While Ukraine is still lagging behind Eastern European countries with the lowest economic output per capita, according to figures by the IMF, hopes for the newly elected President are very high.

Dr. Mikhail Minakov, Principal Investigator of the Kennan Institute and editor-in-chief of Focus Ukraine will shed light on the political developments in Ukraine after the Euro-Maidan in 2014 and give his comments about what to expect from recently elected President of Ukraine.

The presentation will be chaired by Torbjörn Becker, Director of SITE. Time will be available for questions and answers after the presentation. The number of seats is very limited; therefore, we invite you to RSVP until Thursday, May 9 using the Eventbrite registration platform.
