Design Thinking & Circular Retail with Accenture
10 December, 2025
Retail Management students in Accenture Retail Club explored design thinking through an interactive session focused on circular business models in retail.
The session was led by Emma Helsing from Accenture Song and Josefin Edenborg, Retail Management alumna and Consultant at Accenture, who introduced the principles of design thinking and the Double Diamond framework. After presenting the methodology, students worked hands-on with each stage as it was introduced, applying the framework to a retailer aiming to implement a circular business model. Student suggestions included developing sizing passports to reduce returns, offering in-house tailoring and lifelong warranties, and identifying ways to extend product life cycles. The workshop concluded with a joint discussion of the proposed ideas together with Emma and Josefin.
