Exploring innovative initiatives with Axfoundation
The visit began with Maria Smith, General Secretary at Axfoundation, introducing the organization's work and providing a guided tour around Torsåker Farm. Students got insights into the test kitchens, materials garage and experimental garden, learning how research is turned into practical, nationally scalable innovations. During the workshop, the students worked on three sustainability-focused cases: scaling up the blood brownie project, expanding the use of Swedish wool and promoting healthier and more sustainable diets in light of the EAT-Lancet Commission and GLP-1 medicines. Solutions included expanding and rebranding the blood-based product line, influencer-driven positioning for Swedish wool and strategic meal box concepts.
A special thank you to Maria, Emma Ekenstedt and the rest of the team at Axfoundation and Axel Johnson who organized this eye-opening workshop.
