SSE MBA Corporate Partner scholarship recipient Maksym Girnyk

Maksym Girnyk, Radio Study Driver at Ericsson AB, has been awarded the SSE MBA Corporate Partner scholarship 2023. The scholarship is awarded a top-performing manager employed and nominated by one of SSE's Corporate Partners. It's the 11th consecutive year that SSE handles out the scholarship to it's Corporate Partner companies.

The scholarship covers the full tuition fee of SEK 595,000 for the SSE MBA Executive Format program.

“The purpose of the scholarship is to promote executive development among our next generation of leaders. It is also a way to thank our generous Corporate Partners”, says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA, Stockholm School of Economics.


All candidates to the scholarship must be top-performing managers with an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven record of successful leadership. The recipient of the scholarship is expected to contribute to the Corporate Partner organization by bringing best practices, new tools and ideas into the business. They are encouraged to become leaders that work more effectively with a strategic and holistic understanding of their organization.

The SSE MBA Corporate Partner Scholarship 2023 is awarded to Maksym Girnyk, with the following motivation:

"Maksym is a talented, responsible and curious leader with a strong drive. He has a proactive approach and a proven record of successful leadership, with the potential to grow even further. Maksym has a Ph.D. in Telecommunication from the Royal Institute of Technology and an impressive track record of cutting-edge research, he led for example Ericsson´s first 6G project to create a future-looking vision for the new generation of telecom networks. Maksym was also invited by the World Bank as senior telecom expert to assist with their project helping Ukraine´s Government to shape the country´s 2025 broadband strategy. Maksym is described by Ericsson as a responsible person with a very strong driving force and an eagerness to learn and considered a candidate for higher management position within the organization. Through the SSE MBA program, Maksym will receive solid general management knowledge to complement his existing strong skills. This will support him in achieving his full potential in current and future leadership roles within Ericsson, where he can have an even greater impact. Together with his experience, background and potential, Maksym is a very worthy recipient of the 2023 SSE MBA Corporate Partner scholarship".
