Stockholm School of entrepreneurship wins prize for outstanding contribution to venture creation

Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship has been awarded the 2018 prize for "Outstanding Contribution to Venture Creation" by the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centres (GCEC) in Chicago. In 2019 SSES will bring the GCEC conference to Stockholm.

GCEC is a global institution and conference annually gathering the world's leading minds in entrepreneurship. As the premier organisation for emerging topics in entrepreneurship, GCEC is considered the vehicle by which the global entrepreneurship ecosystem shares best practices, and assists each other in advancing, strengthening, and celebrating the role of universities in educating the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. 

Thanks to its strong impact on individuals and the economy, Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship has been acknowledged for its outstanding efforts in encouraging entrepreneurs and driving venture creation. To date, Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship has inspired more more than 15.000 entrepreneurship students. 40% of its alumni create firms, currently employing over 10.000 individuals across the globe. More than 1.500 alumni companies are currently in existence thanks to the wide array of support ranging from courses, workshops, pre-incubation to acceleration. Today, Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship is internationally renowned for its practice-based entrepreneurship focus, and its global network of researchers and entrepreneurs. 

In 2019, Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship is proud to bring the GCEC conference to Scandinavia and host the conference from September 26-28th in Stockholm.
