Students Katarina Li Qiu and Buene Gjana have been awarded the Gun and Einar Larsson Scholarship 2023 (GELS) for their project “The Making of Rwanda’s Physical Education Curriculum”.

Niclas is a passionate and innovative teacher who has made outstanding pedagogical achievements in SSE programs. Over a period of thirty years, he has been part of educating more than 8,000 SSE students.

Jesus De Abreu and Christian Karlsson have been awarded the SSE MBA Carl Silfvén scholarship 2022. The scholarship is presented to the next generation of leaders to promote the competitiveness of Swedish-based business in an international market.

Carl Bennet and the Marianne & Marcus Wallenberg Foundation join forces to sponsor a new professorship at the Stockholm School of Economics. This enables internationally acclaimed Martina Björkman Nyqvist to continue her important research on development economics and children’s health and education as the new Carl Bennet & Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Economics.

On June 3 CIVICA will host an online dissemination conference where policymakers, theorists, practitioners, and students will come together to reflect on the impact of the digital transformation on the present and future of universities. One of the panelists is Hilda Hardell who is a third-year BSc student at SSE, the only student participating live along with professors and presidents from the fellow universities.

This year's Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award goes to Dr. Ciara Sutton for her significant accomplishments in pedagogy and student learning. Helena Saxon, CFO of Investor, presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.
