As of July 1 Magnus Bild will have a position as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Accounting. Magnus holds a Phd from SSE and left the department in the early 2000's. Magnus, who is an excellent teacher, will give a master course about financial communication, further strengthening our offering to SSE students. Welcome back Magnus!

The company DigiExam started their operation at SSE Business Lab. Its digital application made it possible for secondary school students to use their laptops when writing their National Examinations in “Svenska C” earlier this year. 

The QS Rankings, which Dagens industri refers to in an article, is interesting. SSE follows the QS Ranking results as well as other ranking lists with great interest.

Martina Björkman Nyqvist, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at SSE, is one of the researchers who has studied if lottery tickets can be an incentive to practice safe sex as a means to prevent HIV in the African nation of Lesotho.

Today Financial Times published its annual ranking of the world’s premier executive education programs. Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education retains its top position in the Nordic region, while advancing to #31 in the global ranking.

On May 11 the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs organized Development Day 2015 at the Stockholm School of Economics. As in previous years, the conference gathered a mix of international scholars and practitioners from the public, private and civil society sectors. We hope that all of more than 100 participants enjoyed the conference and we will meet again next year at Development Day 2016.

The Global Swede award has been presented to Dariy Antonyuk, student at the MSc in Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics. Global Swede is presented to international students who distinguished themselves in areas closely related to innovation and entrepreneurship by the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Government.

The Stockholm School of Economics announces Rally for SSE! - a 24-hour giving day which will take place from September 30 to October 1. SSE aims to raise 1 MSEK from alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to support entrepreneurship at SSE.
