Professor Abhijit Banerjee








Prof. Abhijit Banerjee

Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and recipient of the 2019 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel

Abhijit Banerjee received the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, and is the author of a number of articles and five books, including Poor Economics, and Good Economics for Hard Times, both co-authored with Esther Duflo.
He has served on the U.N. Secretary-General’s High-level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, and is a trustee of Save the Children USA and the Chair of the Global Education Evidence Advisory Panel and the Global Advisory Board for Covid-19 Response of the government of West Bengal.

Carl Bennet is the CEO of Carl Bennet AB and the principal owner of the listed companies Getinge, Arjo, Lifco and Elanders. He is also a board member of L E Lundbergföretagen and Holmen. Carl Bennet holds an MSc. in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg, an Honorary Doctor of Medicine from the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg and an Honorary Doctor of Technology, Luleå University of Technology.

Marcus Wallenberg is the Chair of the Board of Directors of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB), a North European financial group. He also chairs the board of Saab AB, FAM AB, Patricia Industries, Wallenberg Investments and serves on the boards of Investor AB, AstraZeneca Plc, EQT AB and the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. He is the former Chair of LKAB and Electrolux AB and held the position as Chairman and Honorary Chairman of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) from 2006 to July 2010.  

Marcus Wallenberg also serves on several international advisory boards and is a member of Asia Business Council and Co-chair of Saudi Sweden Joint Business Council and India Sweden Joint Business Round Table. He holds a BSc of Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.



Eva Axelsson

Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Group Sustainability, Saab

Eva Axelsson is the Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Group Sustainability at the Swedish Defence and Security Company, Saab AB. Eva is a board member at The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) Lund.

Prior to Saab, Eva has worked in a number of sustainability roles including Head of Sustainability at both Swedbank Robur and KPA Pension. She began her career as an Environmental Specialist at Skanska. She holds an MSc. in Biology and Environmental Management and Economics from Stockholm University. 



Andreas Gyllenhammar

Andreas Gyllenhammar is the chief sustainability officer at Sweco in Stockholm, Sweden. 

Andreas has developed services in a broad sustainability context, especially strategies forSustainable Cities. He has been part of delegations to the sustainability summits Rio+20, Cop21 Paris, Cop23 Bonn, Cop24 Katowice, and as a member of the World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

Vice President for Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility, Ericsson Group

Heather Johnson is the Vice President for Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility for the Ericsson Group worldwide, with an experience in the Ericsson Group in Sweden of over 20 years. 

Since 2018 her work has focused exclusively in leading the Ericsson Group's sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts. Proven strength in engaging with stakeholders to build and manage public-private partnerships and programs to create positive social impact and meet the SDGs on a global scale in areas like climate action, humanitarian response and education. Heather holds an MBA from Santa Clara University - Leavey School of Business and a BA from Villanova University. 



Johanna Raynal

Director of ESG and Impact, Swedfund

Johanna Raynal is Director of ESG & Impact at Swedfund International AB. Johanna heads Swedfund’s ESG & Impact operations focusing on themes such as Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment, Climate Change and Environmental Stewardship, Human Rights, Decent Work, and Business Integrity. 

Prior joining Swedfund 2017, Johanna has held various positions within sustainability consulting and assurance as well as energy industry. She holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration with a major in corporate finance from University of Vaasa.

Sofia Svingby

Vice President Sustainability, Atlas Copco

Sofia is the Vice President Sustainability for the Atlas Copco Group. Sofia leads the corporate team responsible for developing the Atlas Copco Group's sustainability strategy, ambitions and processes and coordinates and communicates the Group's sustainability efforts in close collaboration with the organization.

Before joining Atlas Copco in 2016, Sofia spent close to 15 years working with responsible business practices, business advisory and international development cooperation in Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and the Middle East.

Professor Adnan Khan is the Chief Economist and Director for Economics and Evaluation in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). He is seconded from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he is Professor in the School of Public Policy. He has focused his career on advancing the understanding of development economics, political economy, entrepreneurship, and public sector reform. 

Adnan co-chaired LSE-Oxford Commission on State Fragility, Growth and Development. He continued to work on the theme of fragile states through the follow-up Reducing Fragilities Initiative.

Sir Anthony Atkinson Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

Oriana Bandiera is the Sir Anthony Atkinson Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, and a honorary foreign member of the American Economic Association, a fellow of the British Academy, the Econometric Society, CEPR, BREAD and IZA.

She is co-editor of Econometrica, president of the European Economic Association, and director of the Hub for Equal Representation at the LSE and of the Gender, Growth and Labour Markets in Low-Income Countries (G²LM|LIC) programme at IZA.

Professor of Sustainability Management at Aalto University School of Business

Minna Halme is professor of Sustainability Management at Aalto University School of Business. Her research focuses on sustainability innovations, co-creation of sustainable business models and societal impacts of CSR. She is an Associate Editor of Organization & Environment, and a member of the editorial boards of Business Strategy and the Environment, Technovation, and Scandinavian Journal of Management. 

She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Finland’s largest retailer SOK, Finland’s national Sustainable Development Expert Panel, Advisory Board of the Central Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Centre of Sustainable Markets (Misum) of Stockholm School of Economics.

Gary Loveman Career Development Associate Professor of Economics, MIT 

Frank Schilbach is the Gary Loveman Career Development Assistant Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  His work focuses on the role of understudied correlates of poverty - alcohol consumption, physical pain, and sleep deprivation, in the lives of the poor, as well as the generation and diffusion of information about optimal agricultural inputs in sub-Saharan Africa.

Frank received his PhD in Economics from Harvard University in 2015. He graduated in 2008 from Mannheim University with a Diploma in Economics and earned an MA in Economics from UC Berkeley in 2009.

Misum Executive Director and Associate Professor in Economics, SSE 

Martina Björkman Nyqvist is an applied development economist and joined the Stockholm Schoool of Economics (SSE) in 2011. She is also the Executive Director at Misum (Mistra Center of Sustainability Center). 

Prior to joining, she was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics (IGIER affiliate) at Bocconi University in Milan. 



Ingrid Eelde Koivisto






Ingrid Eelde Koivisto

Secretary General, Pratham Sweden

Ingrid Eelde Koivisto is founder and general secretary at Pratham Sweden. She divides her time between Pratham Sweden and Stockholm School of Economics, where she is a PhD student in sustainability and innovation at the Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology.

Ingrid is also a columnist for Omvärlden, Sweden's leading publication for international development issues, and was named one of Omvärlden's future talents in 2021. Ingrid holds a BSc in Business Economics from Stockholm School of Economics and has studied Chinese at Fudan University in Shanghai.



Viveka Hirdman-Ryrberg





Viveka Hirdman-Ryrberg

Member of the Executive Team and Head of Corporate Communication & Sustainability, Investor AB

Viveka is the Head of Corporate Communication and Sustainability at Investor AB, the largest industrial holding company in Northern Europe. She joined Investor in 2018 and has been instrumental in gearing up Investor’s sustainability work. Viveka has chaired Misum, a multi-disciplinary research center for sustainable markets at Stockholm School of Economics, since 2020. She holds olds a BSc. and a LicSc. in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
