The Human Side of Data Analytics: Insights from Financial Executives
Despite years of investment in data analytics (DA), many companies still struggle to turn data into truly useful insights—especially in financial reporting, where stakes are high and expectations rising. Drawing on interviews with 23 senior finance leaders across industries, this seminar explores how DA success hinges not just on technology, but on human dynamics: the narratives leaders craft, the resistance they face, and the way analytics becomes embedded in everyday decisions.
Professor Eldar Maksymov (Arizona State University) shares key findings from this study, offering a fresh, practical lens on how DA is interpreted, negotiated, and ultimately made useful in real-world finance functions.
