Shrinkflation
Fredrik Lange is Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Center for Retailing, Stockholm School of Economics and the Program Director of the Retail Management Program. His research interests lie in omnichannel retail and marketing communications.
In this talk, he will share his insights from an investigation into the phenomenon of “Shrinkflation”, where the price level of units increases through a reduction in volume, weight, or size. Fredrik conducted this research for Konkurrensverket to understand the extent and nature of shrinkflation in the Swedish Retail Industry.
