CFR Research School in Retailing
Strengthening retail research nationally and internationally.
This course has been one of the biggest highlights of my PhD journey so far. Everything about it is outstanding, from the teaching faculty and organizers to the participants.
About
The purpose with the CFR Research School in Retailing is to strengthen retail research both nationally and internationally. The aim is to build a foundation for both academically and practically relevant retail research.
The courses also involve industry collaborations (Business Collaboration Events). This provides you with a strong balance between theoretical rigor and practical relevance, as well as an opportunity to expand your academic and industry network.
Since 2018, the school has been held biennially, attracting growing interest while maintaining a participant size that allows for high-quality discussions.
In 2024, the school brought together 21 PhD students from 14 institutions across eight countries and offered opportunities to engage with practitioners from 11 companies.
Funded by
The CFR Research School in Retailing is funded by Handelsrådet (The SwedishRetail and Wholesale Council).
