On June 9, 2025, Georgy Egorov (Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University) will present the study “I’d Be Surprisingly Good for You: Political Information and Network Effects.” Based on a randomized experiment during Argentina’s 2023 presidential election, the research shows how fact-checking campaigns can backfire—reducing support among exposed voters while increasing it among their unexposed neighbors through social network dynamics.
