Daniel Semper

Daniel Semper is a postdoctoral researcher at WU Wien, Institute of Change Management & Management Development, Department of Management. He received his doctoral degree from Johannes Kepler University in Linz.

He obtained an MA degree in Management & Organizational Analysis at the Warwick Business School, UK, and a BA and MA degree in Sociology at the Karl Franzens University Graz. Daniel held visiting appointments at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, the University of Alberta, Canada, the University of Bergamo, Italy, and the Higher School of Economics in Russia.

His research interests revolve around institutional change and categorization processes of organizations. In particular, these topics involve questions of legitimacy, authenticity, identity and stigmatization of organizations. His current research projects focus on change dynamics within and of categories.
