Lasse Lychnell interviewed in Universitetsläraren

Lasse Lychnell has been interviewed in Universitetsläraren for an article on the value and cultivation of empathy in higher education.

He shares his knowledge on the subject, but also his personal experience and what made him see the importance of this area in the first place. At SSE, Lasse works with students with the goal of strengthening cognitive and emotional empathy, as well as compassion. This is a part of the overall ambition according to the FREE model at the school, where empathy and culturally literate qualities are valued alongside entrepreneurship and fact-based research.

He talks about his method, one characterized not by right and wrong or giving good advice, but simpy by sharing and listening. Most importantly: creating a safe environment.

The article also gives examples from other universities and from studies on the subject itself. The article is available, in full but in Swedish, here
