Martina Björkman has been elected a new member of the European Economic Association Executive Committee

We are very proud to announce that Martina Björkman, Acting Mistra Professor of Sustainable Markets at MISUM and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics has been elected a new member of the European Economic Association (EEA) Executive Committee. Her term of office will run from January 2022 to December 2024.

For the 15th consecutive year, a scholarship is being awarded for Executive MBA studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. The scholarship of SEK 495,000 is announced by Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri in cooperation with the Stockholm School of Economics and utbildning.se and recognizes the next generation of leaders, with the purpose of strengthening Swedish competitiveness.
BSc student represents SSE at the CIVICA dissemination conference

On June 3 CIVICA will host an online dissemination conference where policymakers, theorists, practitioners, and students will come together to reflect on the impact of the digital transformation on the present and future of universities. One of the panelists is Hilda Hardell who is a third-year BSc student at SSE, the only student participating live along with professors and presidents from the fellow universities.
Organizing Time Exchanges: Lessons from Matching Markets

The Erasmus Program in Europe and the Tuition Fee Exchange in the US are just two examples of time exchange markets. Despite existing for decades, these markets experience a whole set of issues such as coordination problems and imbalanced outcomes. In this recently published paper, Professor Tommy Andersson, Affiliated Professor at Department of Economics, and coauthors construct a non-manipulative mechanism, that maximizes exchanges among participating agents.
