On Friday January 26th, Anders Sewerin from the Center for Sports & Business attended the 5th edition of Swedish Elite Football's (SEF) Network Arena in Amsterdam to talk about the Management Diploma for Athletes Program.

On Wednesday January 25th, the Center for Sports & Business at SSE held its 2nd joint alumni event together with the ESSEC Business School and WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. The theme of this digital event was 21st Century Sports: How Technologies will Impact Sports in the Digital Age and the keynote speech was given by Professor Sascha Schmidt from WHU.

We are delighted to announce that CSR researchers Ranjula Bali Swain and Susanne Sweet have received a new grant from the Swedish Research Council (Formas) of about SEK 4 million. The grant is for their work with an institutional policy and business practice to support the implementation of circular economy in the textile value chain.

A new research project on changing attitudes about migrants is bringing together ten CIVICA universities across Europe. “The idea of migrants’ integration in Europe may be shifting from something seen as a right, to something you need to prove you are worthy of,” says Professor Laurence Romani.

On Wednesday December 7th, the Center for Sports & Business at SSE held a joint alumni event together with the ESSEC Business School and WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. This digital event was a collaboration with the Germany SSE Alumni Hub. It was the first time that these three leading European sports centres hosted a joint event.

Sayaka Osanami Törngren is an associate professor in international migration and ethnic relations (IMER) at the research center Malmö Institute for Studies of Migration, Diversity and Welfare. From now on, she will also be affiliated with CSR. "My belief is that I don’t have to be an expert in everything, but if I surround myself with people who also have great ideas and knowledge, we can come together and achieve great things. I am looking forward to exchanging knowledge, perspectives, and visons with the other members of the team", she says.
