Two research teams from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) have been awarded prestigious multi‑year research funding from the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation’s 2025 call in Economic Sciences. Only three projects were selected from a total of 48 applications, making SSE the home to two out of three successful proposals.
First joint CIVICA bachelor course on EU migration governance

International migration is an important phenomenon that impacts businesses and societies in multiple ways. Last term, students from SSE and SGH Warsaw School of Economics completed the course Governance and Key Actors in Migration – the very first digital joint course at the bachelor level within the CIVICA alliance. The collaboration between the two schools aimed to offer the students a unique multi-disciplinary learning experience.

FORMAS awards major grant to three MISUM affiliates for climate policy and green transition research

Martina Björkman Nyqvist appointed to Sida’s board

The Swedish government has appointed Martina Björkman Nyqvist, professor of economics at the Stockholm School of Economics and Executive Director of Misum, as a new member of the board of Sida. She brings extensive expertise in impact evaluation of development aid – to help ensure that aid funding is used where it can make the greatest difference.
