Trust is eroding, young people are losing hope, and liberal democracies are under threat. But Nordic countries can be a lighthouse in turbulent times. That was the message from Iceland’s president Halla Tómasdóttir during a state visit to the Stockholm School of Economics on Thursday.

Emma Bell has been appointed H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Chaired Professor in Leadership at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). A leading researcher in leadership and organisation studies, Professor Bell will focus on how leadership is performed, perceived, and shaped by societal expectations.
