Alexander Ljungqvist appointed to AP2 Board

Alexander Ljungqvist (SHoF/SSE) has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Second Swedish National Pension Fund (AP2).
Professor Ljungqvist is holder of the Stefan Persson Family Chair in Entrepreneurial Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics. His research spans corporate finance and entrepreneurship, with contributions in areas including venture capital, private equity, initial public offerings (IPOs), corporate governance, and innovation. He has published extensively in leading academic journals in economics and finance.
AP2 is one of Sweden’s national pension buffer funds. Following the integration of AP6 into the AP Fund system, AP2 has assumed responsibility for a larger share of Sweden’s public pension capital, including significant private equity holdings, further expanding its role in the long-term management of pension assets.
