National PhD program

The aim of the National PhD Program in Finance is to complement existing PhD education in Sweden by offering additional courses, workshops, and opportunities to visit the Swedish House of Finance.

The Swedish Doctoral Course Program in Finance consists of a set of doctoral finance courses. These courses are available to PhD students at the Stockholm School of Economics, students at our Academic partner institutions, and visiting PhD students at the Swedish House of Finance. The program consists of core courses covering the principle areas of finance at a graduate level, as well as mini courses. The latter are taught over a short period and cover more specialized areas in finance or topics from related disciplines. The Swedish House of Finance typically uses its extensive international network to invite scholars from top international academic institutions to teach mini courses.

Doctoral students from our Academic partner institutions may attend courses in the Swedish Doctoral Course Program in Finance following an application to Jenny Wahlberg Andersson. The application should include a brief cover letter with motivation, a recent CV, and a brief supporting letter from the main advisor. Students from outside the wider Stockholm area may receive funding of travelling expenses; if such funding is desired, the application should include a brief budget.
