David Thesmar

David THESMAR is a professor of Finance at HEC, Paris. He has research interests in many areas of finance and economics, in particular entrepreneurship, banking, firm organization and asset management. His papers have been published in the leading international finance and economics journals. He is an associate editor of the REview of Finance and the Journal of finance. He is also a member of the Council of Economic Analysis, a body of experts appointed by the French Prime Minister. He has also written several popular books in economics and actively participates in the French public debate. He is an op-ed columnist for the French economic newspaper Les Echos, and a regular participant of various radio shows.
