Roine Vestman

Roine Vestman is an Associate Professor of Economics at Stockholm University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University, USA, and a M.Sc. degree from Stockholm School of Economics.
Vestman’s research interests center around households’ and individuals’ consumption, savings, and housing choice and their implications for the macroeconomy. He also does research on the design of pension plans, and the functioning of the mutual fund industry.
Vestman has taught at all levels and is supervising several Ph.D. students.
Vestman is a scientific advisor to the Swedish FSA (Finansinspektionen) on macroprudential policy.
