Call for papers: 14th National PhD Workshop in Finance

The Swedish House of Finance (SHoF) will organize the 14th National Workshop for PhD students in Finance on October 15-16. The workshop offers students from Swedish academic institutions the possibility to present their research and get feedback from faculty and fellow students. The workshop is meant to bring together PhD students and faculty in Finance from all the Sweden to share and discuss their work.

Submission Deadline: September 15, 2025 (by email to Nicola.Donohoe@hhs.se)

Theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of Finance are welcome. Completed as well as preliminary drafts/slides will be considered, and submissions of papers written solely by PhD students are particularly encouraged. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit their final drafts by September 25.

We will hold the conference in person at the Swedish House of Finance. The workshop will start after lunchtime on October 15th and end at lunchtime on October 16th. The sessions will consist of PhD student presentations, each followed by a discussion from a faculty member of a Swedish or Nordic institution.

Papers will be selected by the Program Committee. Authors will be notified of the Committee's decision by September 20, 2025. There is no workshop or submission fee.

We are glad to announce that the Program Committee will give The Ola Bengtsson Award for the best Finance PhD paper, as well as an award for the best discussion during the workshop.

Ramin Baghai, Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics, will give a keynote speech during the conference.
