SNS/SHoF Finance Panel: Secured Debt – the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Efraim Benmelech, a leading expert on contracting, securitization, bankruptcy and financial distress, visited SNS/SHOF Finance Panel for a discussion about changes in the use of secured debt and the developments in the use of collateral in the global debt markets.

The Finance Panel is a meeting forum for the financial sector, hosted by SNS and the Swedish House of Finance.

Swedish House of Finance (SHOF) at the Stockholm School of Economics is Sweden’s national research center in financial economics.

Keynote speaker

Efraim Benmelech is the Harold L. Stuart Professor of Finance and the Director of the Guthrie Center for Real Estate Research at the Kellogg School of Management and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).

There was also speakers commenting on the use of secured debt and collateral in Sweden.
