Abstract: This talk celebrates the legacy of Tomas the Mathematician. Reflecting on Tomas’s outstanding career, I will discuss his academic roots, professional journey, and contributions to mathematical finance. I will also speak about Tomas the Teacher, who inspired generations of students, offering a glimpse into his teaching philosophy and
approach to science. Generous with his time and ideas, Tomas also remained the “eternal student” pursuing his endeavour to understand things up to the last days of his life.
