Center for Security and Resilience breakfast seminar: What are the challenges to cyber situation awareness in organizations and how can it be improved?
Digitalization has transformed every sector of our society, raising complex challenges for national cybersecurity and cyber resilience. As organizations, both public and private, become increasingly dependent on digital systems, the ability of staff involved in cybersecurity to develop and maintain sufficient cyber situation awareness for their role is key to upholding vital societal functions and supporting Sweden's total defense.
But what does cyber situation awareness look like from a human perspective, beyond technical tools? What are the challenges to cyber situation awareness for staff in organizations? How can cyber situation awareness be improved? And why do challenges to cyber situation awareness in organizations matter to Swedish total defense?
In this seminar, Center for Security and Resilience Researcher Annika Andreasson presents findings from the recently defended doctoral thesis "Cyber Situation Awareness and Common Operational Pictures: Studies of the Swedish Public Sector".
