Happiness in the Nordic countries

The Nordic countries all rank at the top of the World Happiness Report. What are their unique and shared properties? How do people in the Nordic coutries view their own and each other's lives? We conduct nationwide surveys that mirror and complement the ranking.

The Happiness Experiment #lyckoexperimentet

In collaboration with TikTok, we conduct an experiment of unprecedented scale to see whether interventions in the form of reflections and behavioral changes can engage enough many people to have a significant effect on national happiness in Sweden. 

Happyflation

In collaboration with the City of Stockholm, we gauge how major events can have extended direct and indirect effects on wellbeing and behaviors in an entire city. We utilize Taylor Swift's three shows in Stockholm as a natural experiment. 

Happiness, elections and democracy

How do happiness and elections interplay? Using international data, we investigate how national happiness in election years differs fro the baseline. We utilize the upcoming US election as a natural experiment to gauge domestic and international effects o wellbeing, democratic and welfare behaviors.
