SSE MBA Carl Silfvén Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded up to two persons employed at a Swedish organization in Sweden or abroad, who can demonstrate good study results and ability in their practical work experience. They will not only promote Sweden, but also be good ambassadors for Sweden. Further requirements are a Bachelor's degree in a non-business subject, at least five years relevant work experience, and a proven high level of English proficiency. The scholarship shall promote the competitiveness of Swedish-based business in an international market.

The SSE MBA Executive Format is for business leaders who want to drive success in a global context and be inspiring leaders. The program has a strong focus on sustainability, is given in English on three continents, and you earn an MBA degree as well as three additional certificates from international courses.

This scholarship is given by the Carl Silfvén Foundation, which is established through the will of Carl Silfvén in 1914. The scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the SSE MBA Executive Format program, as well as travelling costs relating to the mandatory international field trips up to SEK 150,000 (incl. of VAT). The scholarship also covers costs for accommodation up to SEK 150,000 (incl. of VAT) for those who need to travel to Stockholm for the campus weeks held in Stockholm.

Scholarship application process 

The application deadline for the SSE MBA Carl Silfvén scholarship 2026 is August 15, 2026, and the application portal is now open.

After the scholarship application deadline, six to eight applicants are usually selected and invited to start, complete, and submit an application for the SSE MBA Executive Format program. They are also asked to take tests and attend an interview, after which they are presented to the Carl Silfvén Foundation, which selects the final scholarship recipients.
