Innovative and Sustainable Business Development

The Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Chair

Since SSE’s inception in 1909, the Wallenberg family has been among the School’s most prominent supporters. In fact, a gift from Knut Agathon (K.A.) Wallenberg, donating SEK 100,000 on his 50th birthday in 1903 was the first of many contributions towards establishing SSE.

To honor this longstanding relationship, and in celebration of Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg’s 60th birthdays in 2016, the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation intend to contribute SEK 32.5 million to establish a Chair for a Professor of Business Administration at the School, named the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Innovation and Sustainable Business Development.
