Luca is heading the investment firm J12 Ventures, which invests in innovative technology companies in the early stage. He previously covered the German and French markets at EQT Ventures after co-founding the Swedish micro saving company NOWO and DHS Venture Partners.

Before studying the Finance and CEMS program at SSE, Luca received his Bachelor degree in Switzerland, where he was born and raised, today fluently speaking 6 languages.

What is your best memory from your time at SSE?

Hard to pick one memory but a lasting one is the end of year summer party when Klingande played as the surprise act in the Atrium after we had listened to their songs the whole spring. A constant highlight was always the many home-parties at Johannesgatan 12, which of course all ended by 10pm according to house rules. Traveling to Euromasters, Euroesade and Euroroma with the football team are a few more great memories!

Why did you decide to engage with the SSE Alumni Club?

From the moment I started the Master’s program at SSE I started to engage in the community, first as President of the Masters Club and later as President of the CEMS Club. It allowed me to gain some experience all the while having fun and making friends for life. Later, together with two previous classmates at SSE, we built up DHS Venture Partners, which started with SSE Alumni investing in tech ventures, the cornerstone to what today is J12 Ventures. Joining the board of the SSE Alumni Club has felt like the natural next step to engage in the community and meet more fantastic people!
