Schenkel, Andrew

I am an Assistant Professor in Organizational Behavior at the Stockholm School of Economics. I received my PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics as well an MBA from Imperial College, London and BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. My research interests centers on:

1) How private equity companies conduct change and how this leads to a competitive advantage.

2) Improving the skills in higher education graduates in Eastern Africa: A question of teaching methods.

I have received funding from multiple source (IT Bygg, Handelsbanken and STINT) and have several publications in a wide range of journals on multiple subjects.

I teach on the graduate and executive levels in Sweden and abroad on subjects such as: change, organizational behavior, leadership, negotiations and the soft side of M&A. I was at Harvard Business School as a guest doctoral student and a visiting scholar at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Previous to receiving my PhD I worked internationally in the construction industry.
